The Metal Up

Biografia Anek is an alternative rock band formed in 2001 in Lecce, Italy. Become more popular in 2009 with the release of their “5439” EP and their first single, “Bella”, that aired on several local radio stations. Founding members Pete Sandon, his brother Jan Sandon and their friend Dario “Rock-D” Scordari welcomed guitarist Dave Tufano in 2006. At the end of 2009 Jan and Dario left the band and new drummer Loris De Carlo, son of the famous Italian drummer Enzo De Carlo, joined the band. The new line up finished to write and arrange new songs and travelled to London to record Anek first full length. In 2011, after performing with several guest members, the band had 2 new official entries, Giampiero Caliandro (bass) and Raffaele Quarta (guitar). But later, though the band was now complete and ready to perform live again, singer Pete Sandon decided to left the band to follow a different direction, mainly dedicated to songwriting. Di seguito abbiamo rilasciato un intervista al chitarrista degli alternative rockers Anek   "RafQu..." TheMetalUp - Ciao Raffaele, da quanto tempo sei chitarrista degli Anek? RafQu  -  Ciao io suono con gli Anek da + di un Anno.. conoscevo già i loro brani delle vecchie Produzioni, poi ci siamo conosciuti con Dave e dopo circa 2 Sett abbiamo fatto il primo Live insieme.
